Inge Lamboo announces new album ‘This Is How The Future Sounds’

Dutch singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Inge Lamboo is at a turning point in her career. What started with striking mashups and covers on social media has grown into an impressive musical journey. Her new album, This Is How The Future Sounds, will be released on May 30, 2025, via V2 Records and promises a fresh, distinctive sound, which she will premiere on the same day at EKKO.

Lamboo gained significant recognition through her creative reworkings of well-known songs on platforms like TikTok and Instagram. Her mashup of Do I Wanna Know by Arctic Monkeys and The Chain by Fleetwood Mac even caught the attention of Lindsey Buckingham. Artists such as P!NK, YUNGBLUD, and Wheatus have also shared her work. Thanks to this online presence, she has now amassed millions of views and a growing fan base.

Following her 2023 debut album Black Heart, where she showcased her talent for alt-pop, she is now taking the next step. On This Is How The Future Sounds, she demonstrates her versatility as both an artist and a producer. Her signature 12-string guitar plays a prominent role, and together with producer Jan Schröder, she created songs like Call Out Your Name. Additionally, she self-produced several tracks, including Higher, Bleed, and Two Empty Eyes, the latter even incorporating handclaps from her fans.

Alongside the album release, Lamboo will be performing live this year with her band, featuring Axel Limbeek (drums), Bram van der Schans (guitar), and Kevin Clerence (bass). She is also set to appear on the new RTL4 show The Headliner, a talent competition airing every Friday night for the past two weeks.

Fans can look forward to a unique musical experience and a collaboration with a major international artist. The album release show for This Is How The Future Sounds will take place on May 30, 2025, at EKKO in Utrecht.
