Kelela’s mini- Documentary ‘in the blue light’
Following the digital release of the stunning In The Blue Light album, Kelela premiered a documentary piece that immortalises a very important highlight in her career - a Blue Note Residency (New York) which has been a tentpole desire growing up as the child of parents who hold the jazz genre in high esteem.
The documentary deepens the process behind the live album, and the cultural impact that Kelela’s music has on a newer generation of artists. Kelela says in the interview: “I’ve always been in love with music that kind of sits on a fault line, or feels like it’s excavating new space”
