Lesoir's ‘New Life’ depicts the innocence and unconditional love from our childhood
"Babel," the new EP by Lesoir, including the focus track "New Life," has been released today via V2 Records.
With "New Life," Lesoir once again explores its musical boundaries and taps into the roots of Americana. This small song is performed predominantly in an acoustic arrangement, with a prominent role for pedal steel, glockenspiel, and string quartet. It is playful and starts with a children's nursery rhyme but gradually grows into a catchy composition, with its multi-part ending marking the climax of this captivating song. "New Life" is about a new life and describes childhood in a flash. The awareness that childhood passes quickly, and the expectations and challenges that early on face our youngest generation. A song about the unconditional love of a parent for their child, and the certainty of the mutuality of that love from the very first breath.
