Nambyar Announces New Album ‘Remedy’
Nambyar, the solo indie-pop project of Jesse Nambiar, is set to return on October 10th with a brand-new album titled Remedy, released via V2 Records. This same day Jesse will be playing his release show in Melkweg. This album marks a new chapter in Jesse’s musical journey, which began when he was just 21 as a member of the pop band Valerius. With Valerius, he scored a No. 1 hit in Indonesia and released two albums before embarking on a solo career. That step led to a deal with Sony Music and the release of several singles, including Caroline, How Would It Feel, and Lost. Jesse’s music dives deep into themes of depression, anxiety, and vulnerability, always underpinned by a message of hope.
Remedy is deeply rooted in Jesse’s rediscovered love for soul music, drawing inspiration from the 1960s, ’70s, and ’80s. The songs reflect on themes such as letting go, acceptance, and self-reflection, telling personal stories that mirror Jesse’s own emotional journey—from heartbreak to new beginnings. His music embraces a timeless approach, combining classic songwriting with minimal production. The result is a collection of songs that are meant to resonate deeply and leave a lasting impact. While melancholy and introspection run throughout the album, there is a strong undercurrent of hope and adventure. Jesse’s mission is to inspire listeners to be open about their emotions and to recognize the beauty in sharing what we feel.
With Remedy, Jesse hopes listeners will embrace the beauty and complexity of life—its emotions, doubts, and joy. He wants his music to encourage openness around topics like depression and anxiety, reminding us that it’s okay to talk about them. Ultimately, he aims to offer a sense of comfort and recognition, a soundtrack for the journey we’re all on.
