In another life, this Londoner born from Grenadian parents has appeared onstage as a backing singer, with the likes of Blur and Mary J. Blige, learning her craft along the way ALA.NI released her debut album You & I. She came on a cold winter day with a black and white video, a great mystery around this the woman and her magic voice.
You & I was already the subtitle of 4 EPs (Spring, Summer, Autumn et Winter) recorded in 2015. One year and a love story made in four chapters, and ALA.NI knows how to put music on a story. The first chapter starts with Cherry Blossom, few guitar chords and a crystal voice. This wonderfull voice built You & I, catchy on Ol' Fashioned Kiss and sweet on Come to Me. There is no great experimentations, but a lot of sincerity and emotion.
