Bloodywood releases album ‘Nu Delhi’

Today marks the release of Nu Delhi, the highly anticipated new album from Bloodywood. The Indian metal band, known for their explosive fusion of folk and modern metal, continues to break barriers and win hearts worldwide. With Nu Delhi, they carry forward their mission: music that not only hits hard but also delivers a powerful message.

Bloodywood started as a viral sensation on YouTube when multi-instrumentalist, producer, and composer Karan Katiyar and vocalist Jayant Bhadula decided to take their passion seriously. What began with unique metal covers quickly turned into a movement. Their breakthrough came in 2018 with Ari Ari, a reinterpretation of a popular Punjabi folk classic, enhanced by the raw raps of Raoul Kerr. Shortly after, they released their first original track Jee Veerey, earning worldwide praise for its message on mental health.

With tracks like Endurant (anti-bullying) and Machi Bhasad (Expect A Riot), Bloodywood continued to grow, refining both their sound and mission. In 2019, their first European tour, Raj Against The Machine, sold out venues and proved that an Indian metal band could dominate not only online but also on live stages.

Despite the pandemic, Bloodywood kept creating music that unites people. Yaad (2020) showcased their deeper storytelling, while tracks like Gaddaar and Dana Dan carried on their fight against political corruption and social injustice. Their debut album Rakshak (2022) was a global success and earned them a nomination for Best International Breakthrough Artist at the Heavy Music Awards.

With Nu Delhi, Bloodywood delivers their most refined and powerful work yet. The album explores themes of rebellion, hope, and identity, blending heavy guitars, fiery rap, and traditional Indian influences. The band remains true to their mission: using music as a weapon for change.
