Harrison Storm has announced his debut European tour; five dates in May will be co-headlining with his fellow antipodean singer-songwriter Louis Baker, and one headline show at TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht, the Netherlands on the 9th of June
Harrison Storm personifies that eloquent edict of carpe diem. Under the cover of sand and waves, the fabled Australian beach life defined Storm’s formative years.
This upbringing by the sea, translated into a love of adventure that he still carries with him today, finding chances to take on new challenges. Diligently chasing his musical dream with a sense of urgency, he organised and launched a popular “acoustic night” in his quaint beachside hometown of Mornington, Victoria at the age of 20. Two years later, he dropped out of university to solely devote his days to busking for tourists in Melbourne, eventually making enough to finance his 2015 debut EP Sense of Home, produced by friend Hayden Calnin. Its title track would place prominently on key streaming playlists, amassing an impressive 23 million+ combined streams and catching the attention of Nettwerk co-founder Terry McBride, who personally signed Storm after sending him a message on Facebook.
In the past, Storm has perform to packed crowds across Melbourne, developing a powerful presence on stage alongside the likes of Michael Franti, The Cat Empire, Husky, The Head and the Heart, and more. Simultaneously, he impacted on the influential Triple J and received airtime on US tastemaker station KCRW.
