Oxford-based singer/songwriter Lewis Watson returns with a brand new song ‘meant for me’ which signals his return to music, following his successful sophomore album ‘midnight’ which saw him tour the world, and which now has over 100million streams.
The beautiful new track is an important return from the 26-year-old songwriter. Having grown creatively since regaining independence as a musician, he locked himself in the studio for the first half of 2019 with producer Richard Wilkinson (Honne, Rhys Lewis, Kaiser Chiefs) to craft a collection of songs that will become his forthcoming third album.
Picking up the guitar at the age of 16 Lewis, gaining fans as broad as Camila Cabello, Lewis Capaldi, Chloe Grace Moretz, and 5 Seconds of Summer to name a few, signing a major label deal, leaving a major label deal, sold out world-wide touring, releasing his second album independently with Cooking Vinyl in the rise of streaming have all contributed to Lewis experiencing every side of the coin of being an artist.
Happier, more confident, and definitely more creative as an artist, ‘meant for me’ sets the tone for an amazing third album from Lewis, a genuine British singer-songwriter talent who continues to have a very bright career ahead.
